The Brief

POL Clothing needed a new website to assist in selling their brand into bigger department stores and to the International Fashion markets. The aim was to create a simple website to showcase each collection and position POL along the Witchery and Country Road type labels. The site was to bridge the gap between the current, out-of-date site and a future website that would fully integrate with POL’s ordering software.

The end result needed to be simple but appealing, responsive to improve the mobile experience, and most importantly, position POL as a premium fashion brand.

The Result

White was chosen as the basis of the design so that the photography and colour theming for each collection would have maximum impact and to enable easy updates every time a new collection was released. Collection pages featured large images of all outfits along with a zoom tool for the closer inspection of detail. Social sharing on each of the collection items was also included which was a major feature missing from the previous site.

Overall, the result was a chic new look at a manageable budget that allowed POL to start immediately selling the brand into higher profile retail stores and the international market.
